The primary material used by Alexandra K is Corn Leather, a part of the BioVeg family of materials. BioVeg materials are vegan and mainly composed of biomass, making them a more sustainable alternative to natural leather.
The products are PETA approved and cruelty-free, using bio-polyols from no-food, GMO-free grains and textiles from natural or recycled materials. Up to 1200 bottles can be used to make 100 mts of the Bioveg line fabric.
Alexandra K uses recycled polyurethane (PU) materials derived from renewable energy sources. The Biogreen project involves the use of raw materials, textile support, and eco-sustainable polyurethanes from renewable sources. The biobased content of these polyurethanes results in a lower environmental footprint compared to traditional polyurethanes.
Alexandra K uses eco-friendly PU fabrics, a unique combination of technology and quality. These fabrics are sourced from Italian and Spanish production that is free of toxic substances, using minimal water and energy. All of their fabrics are also free of toxic PVC.
Alexandra K was the first brand in Poland to create a collection using Grape Leather, an innovative material with high content of vegetable, renewable, and recycled materials. Made in Italy from wine leftovers and grape oil, this fabric is a new vision for the Zero Waste direction and will appear in the summer collection in two color versions, black and white.
